Kasaragod: The Kasaragod District Police organized a cybersecurity awareness class for the public and children. The event was inaugurated by Kasaragod District Police Chief Mr. Bejoy P IPS, who discussed various emerging cyber scams and provided guidelines to avoid falling victim to them. He also launched the SPC Children’s Cyber Safety Awareness Rally. District Special Branch DYSP AV John and Hozdurg Police Inspector Azad were in attendance. Cybercell SI Ajith conducted a detailed session on new types of online scams such as online lottery, online trading, FedEx scams, and credit card fraud. He emphasized the precautions to take if one becomes a victim of fraud and highlighted the importance of the cyber helpline number 1930.
