Rachakonda: The accused who was added to a community WhatsApp group has seen a profile picture of the Victim and personally messaged her through WhatsApp. Later he took screenshots of her images from her Facebook, Instagram accounts and recorded her text chat, and created a video. After few days the accused proposed her to meet him personally, but she refused and stopped responding to his messages. The accused came to know that she was married. Then he bore grudge on her and thought that to take revenge on her by blackmailing her. Then he created fake Facebook & Instagram accounts on her name when he was in Dubai and uploaded her morphed photos in that fake profile to defame her character in front of her family members. Later he talked to her husband and threatened him to leave her; otherwise, he will upload her morphed pictures and videos on YouTube. Later accused uploaded her morphed video on YouTube channel and shared that link to her husband through Whatsapp.

A case was filed with Cr.No. 516/2020 offense 354 D. 509 IPC and Section 67 of IT Act against the accused. The Sleuths of Cyber Crimes, Rachakonda arrested a cyber-stalker for creating a fake Facebook Account and harassing the victim and her husband through social media.
During the course of the investigation, the 10 collected all the technical evidence and after analyzing the data and other credible information, the team waited for the accused to return back from Dubai, on credible information, the accused was arrested on 30,03.2021 at his residence of Siddipet District on his arrival to India and is being produced for judicial custody.
Caution:” Citizens are advised not to respond to messages from unknown persons in social media and immediately block the numbers if you have received abusive calls messages and approach to the nearest police station.”
Under the direct supervision and leadership of Mr. Mahesh M Bhagwat, IPS, Commissioner of Police with the guidance of Mr. P. Yadagiri, DCP Crimes, and Mr. D.Srinivas, Addl. DCP Crimes, Mr. S. Harinath, Asst. Commissioner of Police the case investigated by Inspector Mr. N Ramu of Cyber Crimes and apprehended the accused.
