Chandigarh: The Cycle Safety Squad of Chandigarh Traffic Police recently organized an awareness campaign in various areas including colony no 4 L/point, grain market chowk, tribune chowk, and Piccadilly chowk in Chandigarh. The purpose of this campaign was to educate and guide bicyclists, as well as Rehri/Rickshaw pullers, about the importance of using designated cycle tracks for their safety.
They were also instructed to use the dedicated red Color Cycle Path when crossing roads at intersections, roundabouts, and slip roads, ensuring they wait for the green signal and stop at red signal lights. Additionally, to enhance their visibility to motor vehicles and avoid collisions during nighttime, reflective tape was affixed to bicycles, Rehri/Rickshaws, and other vehicles by the Chandigarh Traffic Police Cycle Safety Squad.
