Davangere, Karnataka: In an initiative aimed at promoting physical fitness, mental wellness, and stress management among police personnel, a three-day Yoga Camp was organized for Davangere district police officers from January 12 to 14, 2026, at the DAR Parade Ground.
Davangere Superintendent of Police Smt. Uma Prashant, IPS, inaugurated the camp on Monday and emphasized the importance of yoga in enhancing overall health, improving concentration, and increasing work efficiency among police staff.
The sessions were led by International Power Yoga Master Bhagirathi, who guided participants through various yoga techniques designed to reduce stress, improve posture, and promote holistic well-being. Police officers from multiple units of the district enthusiastically took part in the camp.
The initiative reflects the Davangere District Police’s continued efforts to support the physical and mental health of its personnel while strengthening their readiness and performance in public service.
