North East Delhi: On August 3, 2024, during the Deputy Commissioner of Police’s (DCP) thorough inspection of the Karawal Nagar police station in North East Delhi, a series of detailed directives were issued to the police staff. The DCP emphasized the critical importance of bolstering communication with the local community. Police personnel were instructed to engage more proactively with residents to gain a comprehensive understanding of the diverse challenges and issues they face. This included not only routine interactions but also organized forums and community meetings to foster trust and transparency.
In addition to enhancing community relations, the DCP placed significant emphasis on the safety and security of women in the area. Specific instructions were given to implement robust measures aimed at preventing crimes against women. This included increasing patrolling in vulnerable areas, setting up dedicated helplines, conducting awareness programs, and ensuring a prompt response to any incidents. The DCP stressed that the safety of women should be a paramount priority and that all efforts should be directed towards creating a safer environment for them.
