Dehradun: A man with a bounty of Rs.5000 on his head has been apprehended by the police for his involvement in a shop burglary in the Kotwali area. The accused, Ishwar Singh, also known as Madhav, 22 years old and a resident of Chhabilbag in Dehradun, is the son of Amrik Singh. He and his accomplice were responsible for breaking into a shop by forcefully tampering with its shutter and stealing valuable goods.
Earlier, the police had successfully arrested Ishwar Singh’s accomplice, who was found in possession of the stolen items and was subsequently sent to jail. Despite efforts to evade capture, Ishwar Singh was finally located and arrested after being on the run. His role in the crime, along with his prior involvement in theft-related activities, led the authorities to issue a reward for information leading to his capture.
The arrest of Singh marks a significant breakthrough in the case, as the police continue to crack down on criminal activities in the area. This theft had caused concern among local shop owners, and Singh’s apprehension is expected to restore a sense of security in the community. He is now set to face legal proceedings for his involvement in the crime.
