New Delhi: Delhi Police Commissioner Mr. Rakesh Asthana IPS has directed all levels of officers and staff of the Delhi Police to wear the new logo on their uniforms compulsorily. On the right are the nameplate and the logo with the new logo (logo) emblazoned with the image of India Gate in the center of this logo with a mixture of ‘red and blue’.
The logo has the word “Delhi Police” at the top and the word “National Capital” at the bottom. It is made of both kadhai and metal. In 1954, Rajendra Prasad, the first President of India, honored the Delhi Police with a red and blue emblem. In such a situation, we need to remember the above-mentioned singular dignity of our organization.
The Delhi Police broke away from the Punjab Police in 1948. On February 16 of the same year, the first Inspector General of Police (then Commander-in-Chief), Mr. DW Mehra, was appointed. At that time, there were about 8,000 policemen in the force.
