Delhi: Police in the North District Cyber Police Station in Delhi have arrested a factory worker for sending obscene pictures and videos to 200 women online. The accused was identified as Manoj Kumar of Bahadurgarh in Haryana, who was working in a juice factory in Bahadurgarh.
The matter came to light after a woman lodged a complaint at the North District Cyber Police Station in Delhi. The victim, who maintains her beauty page on Facebook as a housewife, complained that an unidentified man was harassing her through unidentified calls, WhatsApp messages and that the accused was also sending her obscene pictures and videos.
Based on the complaint, the North District Cyber Police Station investigated the allegations, and sought information from various social media platforms to trace the identity of the accused. The call details records of the alleged stalker were also checked and analyzed.
During the investigation, a detailed technical investigation into the case led to confirmation to identify the culprit. As a result, the accused was immediately nabbed by a police team on Wednesday from Bahadurgat in Haryana. Police have seized a mobile phone containing pornographic videos and pictures sent to various women, and two SIM cards.
Subsequent police investigation revealed that the accused had marital problems with his wife, after which he started randomly sending friend requests to women on social media and harassing them through calling and messaging apps. Police say he sends obscene videos to victims and even calls and texts them at inappropriate times,
The accused confessed to harassing about 200 women through various social media platforms, after which the police of the North District Cyber Police Station in Delhi registered a case and sent it to the court.
