New Delhi: Delhi Police have registered FIRs against former BJP spokesperson Ms. Nupur Sharma, exiled BJP leader Naveen Jindal and journalist Saba Naqvi for hate messages on social media.
A senior police official said the police unit was investigating the roles of various social media organizations in spreading false and misleading information with the intention of creating unrest.

Nupur Sharma was named in the first FIR and Naveen Jindal, Shadab Chauhan, Sub Naqvi, Maulana Mufti Nadeem, Abdur Rehman, Gulzar Ansari and Anil Kumar Meena in the second FIR.
The Intelligence Fusion and Strategic Operations (IFSO) unit of the Delhi Police Special Cell has filed an FIR against those who made indecent remarks for “provoking various groups and creating detrimental conditions for the peace of the people in the country”.
