New Delhi: Union Home Minister Mr. Amit Shah on February 16 appreciated the Delhi Police for its investigation of the northeast Delhi riots and said the force should lay out a road map for the next five years and also for 25 years.
He was addressing the 75th Raising Day parade of the force. The Delhi Police has faced many difficulties as it is serving the national capital. Central Home Minister Mr. Amit Shah said he saw the Delhi police working hard during the Coronavirus outbreak, adding that the Delhi police had done a commendable job from supplying medicine to transporting people to the hospital and conducting cremation ceremonies. “I appreciate the role played, especially by the Delhi police who investigated the riots fairly and rigorously,” said Mr. Amit Shah.
“The Delhi Police faces many challenges in maintaining law and order and ensuring the security of constitutional officials, VVIPs, and diplomats. Over time, the Delhi Police has changed itself and successfully faced the challenges. The police worked hard during the Delhi riots and also prevented many terrorist attacks,” said Mr. Amit Shah, Union Home Minister.
