Rachakonda: On Tuesday, Rachakonda CP Mr. Mahesh Bhagwat IPS has instructed the officials to arrange fool proof arrangements for the upcoming Ganesh festival which is to be celebrated widely across the limits of Rachakonda Police Commissionerate, in the co-ordination meeting held at Kushal convention, LB Nagar.
Officers of Rachakonda, GHMC, Transco, RTC, officials from other government departments, Bhagya Nagar Ganesh utsava committee and peace committee members participated in the meeting and shared their views.
Addressing the gathering, CP has stated that Ganesh festival is celebrated on a massive scale in the state along with the country every year and almost all sections of the society actively participated in the festival. The CP instructed the officials to initiate all the required safety measures to conduct the Ganesh idol immersion peacefully and mentioned that several ponds, baby ponds and lakes have been notified for the immersion. CP uttered that devotees should approach only the ponds and lakes for immersion which are notified and arranged by the government in the limits of GHMC and Rachakonda Police Commissionerate. CP directed the staff to arrange all required amenities for the devotees at the immersion spots.
CP instructed the devotees to give intimation to the Police, follow the instructions of the GHMC and reiterated that devotees and organizers should observe safety measures till the completion of the festival. CP sought the cooperation of the peace committee members and organizers for the peaceful celebration of Ganesh festival.
Addl. CP Mr. G. Sudheer Babu IPS, DCP LB Nagar Mr. Sunpreeth Singh IPS, DCP Malkajgiri Ms. Rakshitha K Murthy IPS, DCP traffic Mr. Srinivas, GHMC Lb Nagar zonal commissioner, S. Pankaja, ACP Mr. Sridhar Reddy and other officers of Rachakonda were also present during the meeting.
