Jammu, Jammu and Kashmir, May 16: Director General of Police, J&K, Shri Nalin Prabhat, IPS, along with DIG JSK Range Shri Shiv Kumar Sharma, IPS, and SSP Jammu Shri Joginder Singh, JKPS, visited the border areas of Jammu District, beginning with the R.S. Pura sector.
During the visit, the DGP interacted with BSF and JKP personnel stationed at various Border Out Posts (BOPs) including Octroi (Suchetgarh), Kharkola, and border police posts at Baspur Bangla and Agra Chak. He later visited Police Station Kanachak and BPP Sandwan, where he held interactions with officers and jawans.
The DGP acknowledged the exemplary role of J&K Police (JKP) in managing the recent Indo-Pak conflict, specifically appreciating their efforts in the safe evacuation of civilians from border villages, which helped save many lives.
Commending the BSF troops deployed along the international border, Shri Prabhat saluted their sacrifices, courage, and unwavering commitment to national security and praised their resolute response to enemy actions.
