Chennai: The urban local elections ended peacefully without any untoward incidents. DGP Mr. C. Sailendra Babu IPS congratulated the Tamil Nadu police for this and the DGP directed the police to actively implement the seven instructions.
The cases of criminals, mercenaries, and murderers should be expedited in court and punished and put in jail.
Identify and arrest the culprits in long-pending theft cases. Stolen items must be recovered.
The perpetrators should be brought before the District Revenue Officers and a moral bond should be established between them. Violators face up to a year in prison.
Those who commit crimes against minors should be monitored on a daily basis. They must be prevented from committing the crime again.
Efforts should be made to set up surveillance cameras in all areas.
Plans should be made to reduce vehicle accidents.
Photos and videos of offenders should be documented. This will help them identify later.
