Know your Criminal based on the collection of criminals and special action raided today, when the vehicle was checked at Bangalore National Highways, Vellore Mottur, it was revealed that about 18.5 tonnes of ration rice were being smuggled by lorry. The police who arrested Dhanapal and driver Kumar from Vellore.
The culprit was arrested in the lorry, Dhanapal of Vellore and the driver of the vehicle, Kumar. On the information they gave, about 2.5 tonnes of rice and a vehicle was seized at another location, for the smuggling of public distribution scheme rice by the government of Tamil Nadu.
In another vehicle raid, about 1.5 tonnes of ration rice was smuggled into the home of Sekar, a convict of Pallikonda, for smuggling rice in the state’s public distribution program. During the raid, about 23 tonnes of rice were seized.
