Puri, Odisha, May 12, 2025: Director General of Police, Shri Yogesh Bahadur, held a high-level meeting with senior police officials to review and strategize comprehensive preparations for the upcoming Snan Yatra and the world-famous Rath Yatra in Puri.
The DGP discussed key aspects including crowd management, traffic regulation, movement of dignitaries, and ensuring the safe and smooth pulling of the chariots. Special emphasis was laid on the deployment of adequate forces, coordination between departments, and seamless communication systems to ensure the festivals are conducted peacefully and securely.
On this occasion, Shri R.P. Sharma Khurania, senior official overseeing the arrangements, also conducted a detailed review of the security arrangements at the Shri Jagannath Temple, reaffirming the police’s commitment to safeguarding devotees and maintaining sanctity during the grand religious events.
