Meghalaya, South Garo Hills: On January 19 and 20, 2025, the Hon’ble Director General of Police (DGP) of Meghalaya, accompanied by the Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of the Western Range, Meghalaya, Tura, and the Superintendent of Police (AID), Meghalaya, Shillong, conducted an extensive visit to various police establishments and infrastructure across South Garo Hills District. During the visit, they carried out a comprehensive review of the facilities, assessed the operational readiness of the units, and engaged in meaningful interactions with the Gazetted Officers (GOs), Officers-in-Charge (OCs), and In-Charges (ICs) of different police stations and units. The visit aimed to understand ground-level challenges, enhance coordination, and provide strategic guidance to the personnel stationed in the district.
