Indore, Madhya Pradesh: Demonstrating exemplary commitment to public service, personnel of Madhya Pradesh Police under the Dial 112 emergency response system promptly assisted a pregnant woman who was stranded on the roadside late at night due to a vehicle breakdown and was suffering from severe labor pains.
The incident occurred on March 12, 2026, near the Umariya Toll Plaza on Mhow Road within the limits of Kishanpur Police Station in Indore district. A Dial 112 First Response Vehicle (FRV) team on night patrol noticed the distressed woman and her family, who were trying to reach the hospital but were unable to proceed after their car broke down.
Upon understanding the urgency of the situation, Constable Gajraj Katare and Pilot Virendra Katare acted swiftly. They immediately helped the woman and her family into the FRV vehicle and rushed her to Choithram Hospital, where she was admitted to the maternity ward and provided timely medical care.
The prompt and compassionate response by the Dial 112 team ensured that the woman received immediate treatment during the emergency.
This incident, highlighted under the “Dial 112 Heroes” initiative, reflects the dedication of the Madhya Pradesh Police in extending timely assistance to citizens and ensuring the safety and well-being of the public, especially women, during emergencies.
