Bilaspur: The law enforcement authorities have taken decisive action by apprehending an individual accused of engaging in the unlawful act of stealing petrol and diesel along the Bilaspur-Raipur National Highway road. This incident has prompted the initiation of proceedings at the Hirri Police Station (Rural) to address the matter thoroughly.
During the investigation, law enforcement officials successfully conducted a seizure operation, resulting in the recovery of a significant amount of illegal diesel. A total of 385 liters of contraband fuel, estimated to be worth Rs 38,500, was confiscated as evidence of the criminal activity. Moreover, the vehicle involved in the incident, an Omni van, was impounded by the authorities.
By taking such proactive measures, the authorities aim to not only uphold the law but also send a clear message that any attempts to engage in fuel theft will be met with swift and decisive action.
