Srikakulam: Visakhapatnam Range Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police, Mr. Gopinath Jatti, IPS, made his inaugural visit to Srikakulam district after recently assuming his new role. During this significant visit, he addressed a press conference held at the District Police Office on Saturday afternoon, alongside Srikakulam District Superintendent of Police (SP), Mr. K.V. Maheswara Reddy, IPS.
Speaking to the media, DIG Gopinath Jatti explained that his visit to the district was part of a scheduled, routine inspection aimed at gaining firsthand insights into the functioning and effectiveness of the local police administration. He emphasized that these regular visits allow senior officers to review ongoing operations and assess law and order conditions in various districts under their jurisdiction.
As part of his visit, DIG Jatti participated in a comprehensive crime review meeting organized by SP Maheswara Reddy. This meeting involved detailed discussions with police officers and other relevant officials regarding crime rates, ongoing investigations, pending cases, and strategies for enhancing public safety. The discussions also touched upon the challenges faced by the district police in maintaining law and order, addressing criminal activities, and ensuring the welfare and security of the community.
DIG Jatti expressed satisfaction with the efforts of the Srikakulam police and reiterated the importance of close collaboration between district officials and the range office to ensure continued progress in curbing crime and enhancing public trust in the police force.
