Dimapur: On 25.5.2022, Information was received that some drug smugglers had entered Dimapur from Manipur and were lodged at a hotel in Dimapur. A decoy person was planted as a prospective buyer of the drug and was asked to made contact with the drug smuggler.
On 26.5.2022, the decoy contacted the drug smuggler, wherein the Drug smuggler agreed to sell half kilogram of brown sugar. At around 15 hours, the decoy meet the Drug smuggler near Hotel Kent, blue hill Dimapur and was arrested.
On conducting search, one black colour hand bag was recovered with about 600 grams of Brown Sugar wrapped in a silver colour plastic micca from his possession. A motorcycle bearing registration No-DL7SBZ0238 (Pulsar) belonging to the accused was seized. The arrested person was identified as SS Dy. Secretary, Ministry of Internal Security (MIS) NSCN/GPRN -IM, Mr. L Songtin Kom alias Elvis, S/o- L Lenjathang, Vill- Mahoutera, Dist- Chandel, Manipur.
The arrested person along with the seized items were handed over to East PS for further necessary action.
