Dindigul, Tamil Nadu: As part of a proactive initiative by the Dindigul District Police, officers from the Child Trafficking Prevention Unit and Cyber Crime Wing conducted an awareness session at Our Lady Higher Secondary School to educate students on key issues related to child safety and cybercrimes.
Under the guidance of the District Superintendent of Police, Inspector Mrs. Amudha, Special Sub-Inspectors Mrs. Mahalakshmi and Mrs. Vasanthi, and Sub-Inspector Mrs. Easwari led the program. The students were sensitized on crucial topics including child marriage laws, crimes against children, sexual harassment, the POCSO Act, and the importance of cyber safety.
The session also highlighted the use of emergency toll-free helplines such as 1098 (Childline), 181 (Women’s Helpline), and 1930 (Cyber Crime Reporting), empowering students to seek timely help and report any incidents.
This initiative reflects the Dindigul Police’s continued commitment to community outreach and child protection through education and awareness.
