Dindigul, Tamil Nadu: In a prompt and vigilant operation, the Dindigul Railway Police seized 4 kg of cannabis during a search conducted at Dindigul Railway Station this morning.
The inspection was carried out on the Nagercoil Express train from Mumbai to Nagercoil by Special Sub-Inspector Ponmani Chitra and her team. During the search, officers discovered a bag left unattended in the luggage carrier of an unreserved compartment, which contained the contraband.
The railway police immediately seized the narcotics, registered a case, and initiated further investigation to trace those responsible.
This successful operation highlights the alertness and dedication of Dindigul Railway Police in curbing illegal drug trafficking and ensuring the safety of passengers.
