Andhra Pradesh, Srikakulam: District SP Sri KV Maheshwara Reddy IPS revealed details of the case, stating that on 21-12-2024 at 3 pm, Nartu Rajesh, the accused in multiple robbery and chain-snatching cases, was arrested by Kaviti police at Kojjaria Junction, Kaviti Mandal, Bairipuram village. During the investigation, the accused was linked to two additional cases from the Kanchili and Ichapuram town police stations. Stolen property, including 8.25 tula of gold worth approximately Rs. 7,76,958, was recovered across a total of six cases.
In his address, the District SP emphasized efforts to identify crime hotspots and increase patrols, as well as the installation of necessary CCTV cameras. Kasibugga DSP M. Apparao and Ichapuram Circle Inspector M. also acknowledged the efforts. The District SP specifically commended and honored Chinnam Naidu, Ichapuram and Kaviti sub-inspectors, and other police personnel for their dedication.
