Lucknow: In accordance with the orders of Mr. Avinash Chandra, Director General of Fire Services, Uttar Pradesh, the Chief Fire Officers across all districts of the state have initiated comprehensive fire safety audits of fireworks shops in anticipation of the upcoming Diwali festival. These audits are being carried out meticulously to assess the current fire safety standards and to identify potential hazards. The Chief Fire Officers are personally visiting the shops to inspect fire extinguishers, smoke detectors, emergency exits, and other essential fire prevention mechanisms. They are issuing clear instructions to the shop owners and managers, emphasizing the importance of maintaining a robust and fully functional fire safety system. This includes ensuring that all fire safety equipment is in place, operational, and easily accessible in case of emergencies. The district officers are also coordinating with local authorities to ensure that all legal requirements regarding fire safety in commercial spaces are strictly adhered to, thus minimizing the risk of fire-related incidents during the high-risk Diwali period.
