Kodungallur: The Kodungallur police have arrested three main suspects in connection with the attempted attack on a doctor from Irinjalakuda Kattungachira. The arrested individuals are Pindi Biju, a resident of Madavana Tiruvallur, Shukur from Kunnath Chethipadam house, and Shiras from Eriat Cheraman Kothezhut house, all of whom are involved in multiple cases. Acting on the instructions of DYSP K. Raju, Inspector B.K. Arun and S.I. K. Salim apprehended the suspects. Previously, five other individuals had already been arrested in relation to the case.
The incident occurred on August 30 at around 11 pm when the group intercepted the doctor’s car near Madavana Kattakulam and attempted to attack him. During the investigation, police discovered that the doctor had been offered a loan of ten crore rupees. However, he was handed counterfeit notes, and the group later stole Rs.5 lakhs from him after stopping him again near Kattakulam. Police have stated that more suspects remain at large, and the full details of the crime will only emerge once all those involved are apprehended. Officers Jemerson and Anil, along with Mithun R. and Krishna, were part of the DYSP squad conducting the investigation.
