Srikakulam, Andhra Pradesh: In a proactive move to enhance public safety and curb illegal activities, the Srikakulam Second Town Police conducted drone surveillance on Tuesday in river tributary areas and at construction sites located on the outskirts of the town.
Acting on the directions of District Superintendent of Police Sri K. V. Maheshwar Reddy, IPS, drone cameras were deployed as part of intensified policing efforts to prevent open consumption of alcohol, marijuana smoking, eve-teasing, chain snatching, and other unlawful activities in public places.
During the surveillance operation, police identified and took legal action against individuals involved in illegal activities in damaged houses, residential buildings, and vacant or uninhabited premises.
The initiative highlights the Srikakulam Police’s commitment to adopting modern technology to maintain law and order, ensure public safety, and deter anti-social activities across the district.
