Hyderabad: On October 26, 2023, the TSNAB team, in collaboration with Dabeerpura Police under the Hyderabad Commissionerate, apprehended three individuals in possession of MDMA within the jurisdiction of Dabeerpura Police Station, Hyderabad. They seized 12 grams of MDMA, a Suzuki Access Two Wheeler with license plate No. TS09FN8588, and three mobile phones from their possession.

Modus Operandi & Case Details:
All three accused persons, Mirza Asghar Ali Baig, Mohammed Sajid, and Mohammed Abdul Salam Khan alias Faizan, have been associates for the past two years, involved in peddling narcotic drugs and supplying MDMA to consumers in Hyderabad City. They procure MDMA in bulk quantities from known sources and sell it at inflated prices, making easy profits.
Acting on credible information, on October 26, 2023, when Mirza Asghar Ali Baig and Mohammed Sajid were about to supply MDMA to fellow drug peddler Mohammed Abdul Salam Khan alias Faizan near Razia Masjid, Dabeerpura, the TSNAB team, along with Dabeerpura Police Station personnel, apprehended them. They seized 12 grams of MDMA, one Suzuki Access Two Wheeler with license plate No. TS09FN8588, and three mobile phones, collectively valued at Rs. 2 lakhs. A case was registered under Crime No.195/2023 U/sec.8(c) r/w 22(c), 27, 29 of NDPS Act-1985 at Dabeerpura Police Station, Hyderabad.

In recent times, there has been a concerning increase in youth/students falling into drug and Ganja addiction, leading to criminal activities and other antisocial behavior. Numerous families have been adversely affected by this issue. TSNAB, Hyderabad City Police, earnestly implore the youth/students to resist the temptation of drugs/Ganja. Daniel, Inspectors of Police, TSNAB, and Mr. M. Prabhakar, Detective Inspector of Police of Dabeerpura Police Station, in collaboration with the dedicated staff of TSNAB and Dabeerpura Police, Hyderabad.
