Bilaspur: In a concerted effort to combat illegal drug trafficking, the ACCU team of Bilaspur Police, in conjunction with the Civil Line police station, executed a coordinated operation. The operation resulted in the apprehension of four suspects who were involved in the illicit smuggling of ganja. A significant seizure was made as a Brezza car containing 45 kilograms of ganja was intercepted and confiscated.
The confiscated ganja, with an estimated market value of around Rs 4 lakh 50 thousand, underscores the magnitude of the operation and the potential impact on the illicit drug trade. The authorities are vigorously pursuing legal action against the apprehended individuals under the stringent provisions of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
