Bengaluru: Targeting drug mafias in the city, Bengaluru police are conducting raids around schools and colleges. Raid and search operation is going on in more than 250 places of the city.
According to police sources on Friday, the attack has been going on for the last three days. More than 100 cases have been registered so far in connection with drug trafficking. More than 200 people were arrested for allegedly supplying drugs to students and 15 kilograms of ganja and MDMA were seized.
The police swung into action on a tip-off that drugs were being sold to students around schools and colleges that reopened after summer vacation.
Police personnel from all sections of the city have been deployed as part of the crackdown on drugs mafia. Attacks were also carried out around PG and hostels. More details are yet to emerge.
