Karimganj: Karimganj is a city in the Karimganj District of the Indian state of Assam. It is the administrative headquarters of the district. Drug peddling was being carried out in Karimganj by drug peddlers and the drugs were being sold to the people.
In order to save the people of Karimganj from the drug menace, the Karimganj Police initiated a drive to apprehend the drug peddlers. During the drive, the police personal apprehended 2 drug peddlers namely Raysul Haque and Ali Hussain, and recovered 25 nos. of vials containing suspected to be brown sugar along with Rs. 59,000/- cash, 3 mobile sets, and a car. Legal action is being initiated by the police against the accused.
