The police seized 170 grams of OG Ganja (34 packets), 9 kg of Dry Ganja, Rs. 2,04,000 in cash, four mobile phones, a Mahindra Alturas car, a Swift car, four motorcycles, and a small weighing machine, with the total value of the seized items estimated at Rs. 72,81,000.

Incident Overview:

On the evening of November 10, 2024, around 5:00 PM, the three accused were caught preparing to supply OG and Dry Ganja in an open area near the VNR Aerodity, within the Balapur Police Station limits. Investigations revealed that Mohammad Idres Khaleem @ Farhan and his cousin Mohammad Abbas, both from Salarjung Colony, Tolichowki, were procuring the contraband through the dark web. They packaged the OG into 3-gram and 5-gram packets and Dry Ganja in 100-gram packets, distributing it for resale in areas such as Jubilee Hills, Banjara Hills, Film Nagar, Miyapur, Uppal, Balapur, and Shamshabad at rates of Rs. 12,000 per 3 grams of OG, Rs. 18,000 per 5 grams of OG, and Rs. 3,000 per 100 grams of Dry Ganja. They engaged the three arrested individuals to supply the drugs to customers based on instructions sent via social media, including Snapchat and other platforms, while collecting payments via cash or online UPI transactions and offering them incentives.

Modus Operandi:

The accused used social media applications such as Snapchat, Instagram, Facebook Messenger, and WhatsApp for communication, sharing locations with the three peddlers for delivery. Once the deliveries were made, the communications were deleted. Payments were made in cash or through UPI transfers. Further investigation is underway to identify the consumers.

Previous Crime History:

Mohammad Idres Khaleem has previous criminal records at Golkonda Police Station in Hyderabad City under the NDPS Act, and a case registered at NCB Bengaluru. Mohammad Abbas, Bandari Sunil @ Suleman Khan, and Mohammad Akram also have prior criminal records under the NDPS Act at NCB Bengaluru and Kharkhana Police Station in Hyderabad City.

BV Sathyanarayana, Addl. DCP Maheshwaram Zone. The operation was monitored by Sri. P. Laxmikanth Reddy, ACP Maheshwaram Division, and led by Sri. M.
