Siliguri: On January 3, 2024, acting on precise intelligence, a joint raid was conducted by the Special Operations Group (SOG) SPC and Bhaktinagar Police Station in the Eastern Bypass area.
As a result of the raid, two individuals were apprehended: Dipak Mondal of Gandhinagar, apprehended by Bhaktinagar Police Station in Jalpaiguri District, and Ankit Sharma of Bhupendranagar, also apprehended by Bhaktinagar Police Station in Jalpaiguri District.
During the search, 223 grams of Brown sugar were seized from their possession, along with the confiscation of one motorcycle and two mobile phones.
All procedures were carried out in accordance with the guidelines of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. A specific case under the NDPS Act is being initiated at Bhaktinagar Police Station.
