Chennai: The police received information about the movement of drugs in the suburbs including Semmancheri Perumbakkam Kannagi Nagar under Tambaram Police Commissionerate. Under the supervision of Assistant Commissioner of Police Mr. Riya Sudhin, Police Inspector Mr. Natarajan headed by Assistant Inspector Mr. Venkatesan, Constables Mr. Arunkumar, Mr. Nagarajan, Mr. Gautham formed a special force and were on active surveillance.
In this case, a search revealed that Manoram (50) was involved in wholesale drug sales in the Tamil Nadu Development Board residential area. Knowing this, the police went in disguise and contacted the dealer and asked him to pay for the drugs. They seized the drugs and vehicles from him.
