On the 2nd of March 2024, a series of events unfolded along the International border of West Bengal, where the vigilant BSF Troops of South Bengal thwarted several attempts to smuggle narcotics. Demonstrating exceptional diligence and dedication to their duty, they intercepted and seized a significant cache comprising 2178 bottles of Phensedyl and 41 kilograms of Ganja. These illicit substances were being illicitly transported from India with the intention of reaching Bangladesh. This successful intervention serves as a testament to the tireless efforts of border security personnel in combating the scourge of drug trafficking, safeguarding the integrity of the border, and protecting communities from the harmful effects of narcotics.
