Jalpaiguri: In Jalpaiguri, the police have made a significant bust after intercepting a 14-wheeler truck and arresting two individuals from Bihar. The suspects were found to be in possession of 120 kilograms of Ganja, a banned substance in India.
The Jalpaiguri Police Department has initiated an investigation into the matter and taken the suspects into custody. They will be interrogated to determine the source of the Ganja and the intended destination of the drug.
Meanwhile, in a separate operation, the Panskura Government Railway Police Station and Kharagpur Government Railway Police Station acted on a tip-off and seized 333 bottles of cough syrup from the Samaleswari Express.
This bust is a significant success for law enforcement as cough syrup is often used in the production of illegal drugs. The police will investigate the origin of the cough syrup and try to uncover any potential drug trafficking links.
Overall, the Jalpaiguri Police Department and the Panskura GRPS and Kharagpur GRP should be commended for their efforts to combat drug trafficking and keep illegal substances off the streets.
