CHENNAI: National Press Day is celebrated on November 16, annually, honoring the work of the journalism and visual media industry, which plays an important role in building democracy.
National Press Day is being celebrated throughout India from 1996 to November 16, as a day to consolidate the activities of the journalistic department, which operates in the media freedom and the arbitrary courage. National Press Day is being observed all over India today, the day of the commencement of the Press Council of India.
To have a vibrant democracy, we need an independent media. We must cooperate fully to promote freedom of the press in all its forms.
In an effort to restore press freedom, the News Media Association of India has put every Indian citizen on the field as Citizen Reporters. Each of them reflects on the events and events around him.
The National Press Day, November 16, was conducted for the welfare of Journalists/ Reporters. In addition, the Newsmedia Association of India has provided food to the Children and the elderly resided at Tamil Nadu Social Welfare Association in Maduravoyal. Few thousands of valuable cleaning products were provided to keep the archive clean.

Also, the event was attended by Mr Murugan, K-11 Police Inspector CMBT, Mr N. Ravindran, T-4 Police Inspector Maduravoyal, Mr N. Perumalsamy, T-4 Police Sub Inspector, Mr Jayaraj T-4 Police Intelligence (IS) Maduravoyal, Mr D. Durairaj T-4 police station writer was also present.
The event was under the guidance of News Media Association of India Association, National President and Police News Plus Chief Editor, Mr A. Charles, and organized by South Chennai Press Secretary Mr Mohammed Moosa and his team. Mr Muhammad Moosa is commendable to be involved in such various forms of social service.
