Coimbatore: Coimbatore City Police Commissioner Tr. Sumit Sharan IPS flagged off the awareness rally comprising over 600 two-wheelers from the Regional Transport Office – Coimbatore Central on Dr. Balasundaram Road. The rally covered locations including Anna Statue, Lakshmi Mills Junction, Gandhipuram Town Bus Stand and concluded at V.O.C Grounds. The death rate due to accidents has come down by 19.3 per cent compared to last year, steps are also being taken to take stringent action against those violating traffic rules.
