East Godavari: Within Mothugudem police station Chittoor CI Mr. Yuvakumar and Mothugudem SI Mr. Sattibabu cleverly caught the accused and seized 1000 kg of cannabis in 40 bags of cotton threads in boxes in a DCM van from Maharashtra on Sunday.
While the accused were attempting to load cannabis in Sukumamidi village and from there transporting to Maharashtra via Chittoor, Under the supervision of East Godavari district SP M. Rabindranath Babu IPS and Chittoor ASP, the Police have nabbed a van transporting cannabis under tight surveillance. The two accused were arrested. About 1000 kg of cannabis worth Rs 30 lakh & 2 Cell Phones An EICHER Van, 190 Cotton Thread Bundles were seized.
