East Godavari: According to information received by East Godavari District SP Mr. M. Rabindranath Babu, IPS, under the supervision of Addl. SP SEB, a vehicle check was carried out this morning at Kolanki village main road under Gollapalem zone and two persons on a Honda Activa bike bearing registration numbered AP05CG0571 came in and the bike was intercepted by the police for checking. The individuals were coming in with four bags, and during the checking on the basis of suspicion, a large amount of NDPL liqueur was found in their possession. The police seized the following property from their possession; Director’s Club, Brandy (180ml)-168 Bottles, Jeffries Brandy (180ml)-274 Bottles, and Lion’s Gate VSOP (750ml)-7 Bottles.
The total number of liquor bottles seized is 449 which is valued approximately at the rate of Rs.44500/-. In addition, the police seized a Honda Activa bearing registration number AP05CG0571. Two persons who were involved in the crime were arrested and handed over to Thallarevu SEB Police Station and the case is being registered and investigated.
