East Godavari, Andhra Pradesh: As per the directions of East Godavari District Superintendent of Police Sri D. Narasimha Kishore, the District Cyber Lab Police organized a special awareness program on cybercrimes for the students of Kadiam ZPH High School.
During the session, officers from the Cyber Lab highlighted the growing threats of cybercrimes and emphasized the importance of adopting safe online practices. Students were cautioned against falling prey to fake apps, suspicious links, fraudulent emails, and unsolicited messages on social media platforms such as WhatsApp, Facebook, and Instagram.
The police stressed that greed for quick money often leads people into the traps of cybercriminals and advised students to be vigilant and avoid interacting with strangers online. They were also urged to report any incident of cybercrime immediately by dialing the toll-free number 1930 or by visiting http://www.cybercrime.gov.in.
Around 150 students and teachers actively participated in the program. District Cyber Lab staff members Sri Y.V. Suresh and Sri D. Mahesh played a key role in creating awareness and guiding the students on preventive measures.
This initiative reflects the commitment of East Godavari Police to protect the youth from cyber threats and to build a digitally safe society.
