Telangana, Hyderabad: In preparation for the Sri Rama Navami Shobha Yatra scheduled on the 6th of this month, city authorities have made elaborate security arrangements, deploying around 20,000 personnel to ensure the event proceeds peacefully. The procession will commence at 1 PM from Sitarambagh and conclude at the Hanuman Vyayamshala (Gymnasium).
During a coordination meeting held on Thursday at Mangalhat with the festival committee, officials announced a ban on DJs and fireworks to maintain order. Additional safety measures include drone surveillance, a joint control room for real-time monitoring, and a pre-event vehicle trial run.
Key civic departments, including GHMC, Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWSSB), and the electricity department, have been instructed to ensure road readiness, drinking water availability, and proper sanitation throughout the route. Authorities have urged the public to cooperate fully to help maintain peace and harmony during the celebrations.
