Kottayam, Kerala: In view of the upcoming Assembly elections, a comprehensive briefing was conducted for officers assigned to election duty in Kottayam district.
The meeting, held at the Kottayam Police Club, was led by Shahul Hameed A, District Police Chief, who provided detailed instructions to ensure smooth, secure, and efficient conduct of election-related duties. He emphasized the importance of maintaining law and order, adhering to election guidelines, and ensuring a peaceful environment.
Viswanathan A K, Additional Superintendent of Police, was also present during the session. Around 84 officers participated in the briefing, reflecting the department’s strong preparedness and coordinated approach.
The initiative highlights the police department’s commitment to conducting free, fair, and peaceful elections while prioritizing public safety and confidence.
