Siliguri : On 17.12.2022 afternoon acting on credible input officers of Panitanki TOP under Siliguri Police Station conducted raid at a rented apartment in Punjabipara, Ward No 13, Siliguri and found that some persons were running a fake call center to cheat gullible customers for their wrongful gain. On search the following articles which were being used in the commission of the crime has been recovered and seized : Monitor 06 pieces, Key board 07 pieces, Mouse 07 pieces, Internal Hard disk 02 pieces, Wireless phone with sim 06 pieces, Wireless phone without sim 10 pieces, Laptop 02 pieces, CPU 05 pieces, UPS 03 pieces, Inverter 01, FMS Fibre 01, Fibre switch 01, DVR 01, Wifi Router JIO 02 pieces, Head phone with MIC 08 pieces, LED Projector 01, Wireless phone charger 06 pieces, Camera switch Box 01, Mobile phone handsets 09 pieces.
Eight persons including 6 ladies who were engaged in running the illegal call center by one Gaurav Saxena have been arrested and taken into custody. Search is on to secure the arrest of the owner Gaurav Saxena and others involved in this case. A specific case under proper section of law has been started at Siliguri Police Station against the above noted arrested persons, the owner of the building and owner of the business namely Gaurav Saxsena.
