Haryana, Fatehabad, April 25: In a commendable step towards ensuring the safety and empowerment of women and children, the Fatehabad Police, under the leadership of Superintendent of Police Sidhant Jain, IPS, is actively carrying forward the “Abhivyakti” campaign — an initiative focused on upholding dignity, safety, and awareness across the community.
As part of the campaign, a special awareness seminar was held at Pioneer Convent School on Friday, drawing enthusiastic participation from students and educators alike. The seminar aimed to educate young minds about crimes against women and the importance of vigilance and early intervention.
Inspector Manju, head of the Fatehabad Police Women Awareness Team, delivered a powerful message encouraging students to never remain silent in the face of wrongdoing. “Awareness and timely action are our strongest shields against crime,” she emphasized. “Raising your voice at the first sign of injustice can often prevent greater harm and dissuade wrongdoers.”
The session shed light on the police’s compassionate and determined approach to safeguarding women and children. Students were informed about the legal protections available, the importance of self-awareness, and the need to report any suspicious activity without hesitation.
The seminar also covered vital topics such as recognizing unsafe situations, understanding “good touch and bad touch,” and learning basic self-defense skills. Special attention was given to potential dangers posed by individuals in public spaces, including transport staff.
To ensure students have immediate access to help when needed, the team encouraged use of emergency helpline numbers: 100 (Police Control Room), 1091 (Women’s Helpline), and 112 (Emergency Services).
Principal Geetika Mehta, along with the school staff and hundreds of students, expressed their appreciation for the initiative, joining hands with the police in fostering a culture of safety, confidence, and mutual responsibility.
The “Abhivyakti” campaign continues to be a shining example of the Haryana Police’s commitment to building a safer, more informed society — one school, one message, and one empowered student at a time.
