Bengaluru, Karnataka: The Bengaluru Traffic Police have successfully collected ₹31.87 crore in just 11 days under the special scheme offering a 50% discount on all pending traffic violation fines. The initiative, which has seen an enthusiastic public response, will remain in force till September 12, 2025, providing a one-time opportunity for vehicle owners to clear their dues.
Across the city, motorists have been voluntarily approaching traffic police officers on duty, local police stations, and traffic management centers to pay their fines. This morning, several payments were recorded at Kempegowda Cross Road and Kempegowda Main Road near Majestic, where violators received challan receipts on the spot.
In addition to in-person payments, citizens can also settle dues easily through digital platforms such as the Karnataka State Police (KSP) app, BTP ASTraM app, Karnataka One, and Bangalore One.
Joint Commissioner of City Traffic Police, Karthik Reddy, has urged all vehicle owners with pending fines to make use of this rare concession before the deadline. He further appealed to motorists to strictly follow traffic rules and cooperate with the department in ensuring smooth and safe traffic flow across the city.
