<![CDATA[Five men arrested in connection with the robbery of belongings of wedding guests on Tuesday. The accused have been identified as Rahul (22), Shadab alias Guddu (22), Deepak (22), Ubesh (23) and Murtaza (19). The police said Shadab is supposed to get married on Sunday and that all the accused took to snatching to collect funds for his wedding. The accused would join marriage processions posing as guests and mingle with real guests to identify persons carrying cash. While a man on a bus was inviting guests over telephone for his son’s wedding someone snatched his bag containing cash and jewellery in north-east Delhi’s Bhajanpura on Monday night, he told the police. Local intelligence led to the arrest of Shadab and Rahul, who later led the police to their accomplices. In another incident, a man was robbed of a bag containing cash and jewellery during his brother-in-law’s marriage on Mandoli Jail Road on May 8, the police said. As the wedding procession reached the venue, there was a power cut during which two persons snatched the bag from the victim, he told the police.]]>
