Ramanathapuram, Tamil Nadu: In view of the upcoming Assembly elections, Flying Squads along with police personnel have intensified vehicle checking operations across Ramanathapuram District in Tamil Nadu.
Acting under the directives of the Election Commission of India, surveillance has been strengthened on major roads, entry points, and border areas of the district. The checks are being conducted to prevent the illegal transportation of cash, gift items, liquor, and other contraband during the election period.
During the inspections, travelers are being requested to produce necessary documents for verification, while vehicles found suspicious are subjected to detailed examination.
Officials stated that strict action will be taken against those violating election regulations. Authorities have also appealed to the public to cooperate with enforcement teams and promptly report any suspicious activities to ensure the peaceful and fair conduct of the elections.
