Thrissur Rural: In Thrissur Rural, Achuparampil Shoji (60), residing in Manayat, was apprehended under the supervision of Kodungallur DySP Santosh Kumar. Kaypamangalam S.I. Pradeep, along with officers Biju, ASI Binishkumar MR, Mohammad Rafi, Mohammad Ziyad, Mohammad Farooq, Dhanesh, and Priya KN, collectively captured the suspect. Fourteen bottles of illicit liquor were seized from a residence in Edathiruthi Munayam, with the assistance of a K-9 unit by Kaypamangalam police. Upon encountering law enforcement, the accused attempted to flee into the river, prompting ASI Bineesh to pursue and apprehend him. A police canine named Milo located the contraband concealed in a bag within the bedroom of the residence. Acting on directives from Rural District Police Chief Dr. Navneet Sharma IPS, the raid was carried out jointly by the dog squad and Kaipamangalam police. The suspect is scheduled to appear in court tomorrow.
