Siliguri: On 27.5.2022 afternoon acting on specific intelligence team SOG SPC with the assistance of Matigara Police Station intercepted one Duster vehicle bearing Registration number WB74AB/X40X at Matigara bypass More in which the following four persons were travelling: Idrish Ali of Sutki Godown, Sola Khan of Matigara Bazaar, Kalpana Khatoon of Raiganj Dulupara, and Ruksana Begum of Sutki Godown.
On search of the vehicle one plastic packet containing 490 grams of Brown Sugar was recovered from the vehicle from the joint possession of the four persons.
Accordingly the contraband drugs and vehicle have been seized and the persons arrested. The value of the seized drugs is 90 Lakhs. A specific case has been registered at Matigara Police Station. Investigation is on.
