Siliguri: On 26.4.2022 in a joint operation of SOG and NJP Police Stations four persons were detained at Porajhar under NJP Police Station and recovered 1 Kilogram of Brown Sugar from their joint possession valued at Rupees One Crore.
The accused have been identified as Abdul Rajjak, Musidul Mandal both of Nadia district. Habibur Sk and Atikul Islam both of Mushidabad District.
The accused persons are members of an organized Drug Cartel involved in supplying drugs to various places of North Bengal.
The contraband drugs have been seized and the four accused persons arrested and taken into custody.
A specific case is being initiated at NJP Police Station under the relevant sections of the NDPS Act.
